Safety is foremost and we’re always watching the weather. Lake Placid has fast changing weather patterns and winds which make for stunning views but can also require us to reschedule. When booking online, please pick your preferred time; we’ll reach out to you to confirm, discuss weather, and reschedule at no charge. Should the weather, your schedule, and our schedule simply not align – your deposit will be fully refunded. 

If necessary for weather or maintenance, we will work with you to reschedule at a convenient time. If we’re unable to accommodate your schedule though, we will issue a full refund.

All of our scenic tours and charters are flown by professional commercially rated pilots. Aircraft are maintained to strict standards and routine maintenance schedules prescribed by the Federal Aviation Administration. Furthermore, our pilots are skilled in mountain flying and analyzing the unique weather patterns that come with the Adirondacks. Safety is our absolute top priority!

While we do our best to make the ride as comfortable as possible, turbulence is completely natural especially in mountainous areas. The bumps you feel are simply pockets of air and differences in the speed and direction of the wind aloft. This is often caused by those beautiful mountains funneling the winds.
